Terms of service

These terms explain what MyTrolley does, what it doesn't do, and what you're agreeing to by using it. They reflect how MyTrolley actually works today and have been reviewed by legal counsel.

1. What MyTrolley is

MyTrolley is a WhatsApp-based assistant that generates a meal plan and shopping list from your household size, budget, and food preferences, and, where you choose to link a supported retailer account, builds a cart on that retailer's own site for you to review.

2. Who can use MyTrolley

You must be 18 or older, based in South Africa, and, if you choose to link a retailer account, hold a valid account with that retailer in your own name.

3. What MyTrolley does

4. What MyTrolley does not do

5. Linking a retailer account

If you choose to link a retailer account (for example, Checkers Sixty60), you're authorising MyTrolley to sign in on your behalf, using the verification method the retailer itself requires (such as a one-time SMS code), for the sole purpose of searching their catalogue and building a cart. You can unlink your account at any time by telling MyTrolley on WhatsApp.

You remain responsible for reviewing the contents of any cart MyTrolley builds before you check out. MyTrolley aims for accuracy but can make mistakes, particularly with substitutions for out-of-stock items.

6. Availability

MyTrolley is an early-stage service. Features, supported retailers, and availability may change, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted service.

7. Acceptable use

You agree to use MyTrolley for your own household's shopping, and not to use it to access or act on another person's retailer account without their permission.

8. Limitation of liability

MyTrolley is provided as a convenience tool. To the extent permitted by law, MyTrolley isn't liable for pricing errors, stock substitutions, missed items, or issues arising from your own retailer account or its checkout process. Those remain governed by your agreement with the retailer itself.

9. Ending the relationship

You can stop using MyTrolley and unlink any connected retailer account at any time. We may also suspend or end access to the service, including for misuse.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

11. Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that affects your use of the service, we'll let you know via WhatsApp before the change takes effect.
